Perx Drum Gemz vol.1 was created with the idea that Drum kit sounds can be crafted from more obscure instruments and sound sources. A metal coil turned into a hi hat. A frame drum with beads inside hit in the right way turns into a snare, a low C note from an old Yamaha piano turned into an 808 and touched with just enough bounce to make it pop and throb...


Brought to you by the ears of incoming producer and creator of RARE percussion, Perx is redefining percussion and drums sounds in modern produced music a subtle but effective way.

Perx Drum Gemz are a different take on creating drum sounds. All raw sounds recorded from an insane collection of world instruments and textures that are then produced and designed into sharp drum sounds that slap in a different way than most other producer drum kits.
