Reason RE Meeker FX Deja Vu v1.0.4

WIN | 18.8MB

Déjà Vu Delay Station will add a new toolbox of sound design to your music productions by combining forward delay, reverse, delay, pitch shifting, and equalization in a flexible, easy-to-use rack in Reason.

Features:
- Forward and reverse delay
- Pitch shifting
- Equalization

You can choose between two delay types: Analog and Digital. The Analog delay type naturally decays, similar to 70s hardware components, where Digital has a precise repeat where you can set an exact number of full-volume-repeats. This setting can be used for stuttering effects controlled with precision.

Controls for the delay settings are Mix, Repeats, Time, and Feedback. Feedback can go up to an infinite danger setting marked with a notch next to the knob. 3 additional selections can be made at the bottom of the rack to turn on Digital Repeats, Sync to Tempo, or Ping Pong (to pan each delay across the stereo field).

The equalization section adds bass or treble frequencies to the wet mix of the delay to allow for brighter or darker effect controls.

The pitch section allows you two controls: a Pitch knob which controls the transposition in semitones (+12 or -12) to an octave above or below. A Pitch Mix knob controls how much of the transposed signal is mixed in to the effected signal. This allows the user to blend pitch shifted echo with either high shimmers or low, darker undulations of delay.

The heart of Déjà Vu Delay Station is the in the Mode selector where you can select between three different directions of delayed signal, either Forward, Reverse, or Boomerang. While often delays are forward, repeating whatever was fed into the effect at the rate determined by the time knob, fewer delays play in Reverse mode, which plays the signal backwards from whatever you fed into it. A newer delay setting is the Boomerang setting which first repeats the signal and then flips it around on the next repeat. This can be visualized as Forward (Echo, Echo, Echo), Reverse (Echo, ohcE, ohcE, ohcE), and Boomerang (Echo, ohcE, Echo, ohcE). The result is a beautiful ambient wash that can be likened to things that you have heard psycadelic rock explore but far beyond and can now serve your application from drum beat mangling to reverse strings and more.

Lastly, notice the back of the unit, where there are CV inputs for many of the cool functions on Déjà Vu but also another key feature: the breakout jacks. This effects loop allows you to route signal into the delayed effect using reverb or modulation to further thicken the textures of the delay. The possibilities are unlimited.

To enhance your productions, hundreds of patches have been created that utilize all of these features, organized by timbre and note values, so that browsing and listening will be practical and inspiring.
