When I first started music production in FL Studio, it was amazing. Hearing the intro bleep excited me to no end because I knew there were millions of ideas I could create in the studio. I began scrolling through the many factory sounds, gathering random synths that had nothing to do with the genre of music I was creating. Then, I would start the drum sequence using weird patterns that had nothing to do with hip hop. I would go on crafting a weird composition until I was left with what seemed like two beats in one.
Every session was full of creative musical ideas and abstract approaches to electronic music but at some point, my melodies would clash with the beat.
