The famous DC-30 but…better? A few years ago this was exactly the mission that Tyler Amps set out on and we think they did a pretty fantastic job. The Matchless DC-30 is no stranger to the spotlight; its majestic and bright chime combined with its impressive ability to break up and never become harsh earned it the god-tier status in amp lore that it deserves…but it always lacked one thing… a little bit of body. Enter Tyler Amps. By recreating the famous Matchless Sampson-Era circuit (with a few of their own tweaks) and pairing it with their own custom-designed speakers, Tyler was somehow able to take the renowned DC-30 and make it better by allowing the same chime and smooth breakup but giving it some bottom end.
