SR-88 is a sample-based plugin emulation of the Sound Master Memory Rhythm SR-88, a rare analog drum machine from the 80s.
The instrument features 5 classic analog sounds: Kick, Snare, Hi Hat 1, Hi Hat 2, and Cymbal, which can be pitched, panned or mixed independently. You can additionally shape the sound with the Low Pass Filter (Zero Delay Feedback), Overdrive, Compressor and Reverb. The sequencer lets you easily build patterns that can be dragged and dropped to your DAW/host.

It features two independent sources: synthesized noise and sample section. Instead of generic white or pink noise, the noise section features 6 square wave oscillators with different pitches and phases, like the famous TR808. The result is a noise sound with a controllable metallic character.

Traditional EQs influence the spectrum of the whole stereo field simultaneously. L/R or Mid-Side-EQs allow you to treat the two channels or the mid and the side signal simultaneously. DirectionalEQ takes this concept one big step further: now you can equalize all directions in the stereo field independently! With five bands, each of them providing state-of-the-art filter types (including 64 bit processing and 2x oversampling) plus the unique ability to specify the direction in which the channel is operational. The newest member of the DDMF family: please give a very warm welcome to Envelope! The creation of this true stereo reverb effect started with the observation that somehow, whenever I’d use one of the existing reverb plugins, the sound was never quite ‘there’: many of them did sound quite good when used with a solo vocal or instrument track, but in a mix contest, I’d quickly end up with a certain muddiness in the lower frequency and/or a too intrusive reverb effect around 5k-7k, where those nasty syllables usually make themselves heard.

With StereooeretS you can increase the stereo fiels as much as desired, but without losing punch in the low end from removing too much “oomph” from the center channel. It splits up the audio in three independent frequency bands and lets you adjust the width, gain and even pan of all three bands!
