The Slovenian tourism board has developed a system for ‘Green Certification’ of travel destinations throughout the country; and on a bike ride through the Soca Valley in Slovenia, producer and artist Charles Van Kirk and his wife Kerri sought out to record in some of these locations. They tracked down the sonic lineage of milk and grapes from the hillsides and vineyards where they are farmed to the cellars and restaurants where they are served as cheese and wine, finally ending up at the epicenter of fine dining - Hisa Franko restaurant.
