Wave Rider is an RTAS plugin. It is a virtual fader controller utility that applies intelligent volume adjustments to the Pro Tools faders to maintain consistent levels, and perform ducking, gating, and automatic mixing duties. It has a vast use in audio post production as well as music recordings.
Ride mode
In this default mode, Wave Rider’s level detecting algorithm automatically raises or lowers the fader level to maintain a user selectable output level by writing volume automation on the timeline. User can then alter the volume automation as needed. Makes maintaining dialnorm levels a breeze! Check out the TIPS page for example scenarios.
Duck mode
This function will lower the signal of a target track by a user selectable amount if there’s signal present on the inserted track. Narration and announcements over music as heard on radio channels rely on keyed compressors with poor results, now cooler with Wave Rider.
Park on silence (p.o.s)
This is a function you’ll find in Automatic Mixer boxes. The faders are parked at a user defined low level when there’s little signal, and they come up to full output when there’s strong signal present, maintaining a steady output level. Particularly useful in situations where there are a lot of mics open and you want to have the cleanest signal without much background noise. Park mode can also be used in situations to replace a noise gate.

Tonalis is a new concept in music software. It performs four part harmonisation in the common practise period style. Start by entering a melody using the piano keyboard. Press harmonise and the app will automatically generate alto, tenor, and bass parts. Progressions are optimised to minimise the movement of inner parts and so the bass line is in contrary motion to the melody. Tonalis uses techniques gleaned from various sources including the book "Theory of Harmony” by Arnold Schoenberg. Using this software, anyone can instantly produce original compositions. Choose from a selection of instruments and playback your compositions. Export the score as an image or a MIDI file.

Dialog combines in one plug-in all the processing needed to clean up, adjust, and sweeten recordings of the spoken voice. It is perfect for voice-over, film/tv recordings on location or sound stage, and broadcast.
Dialog includes brickwall filters, de-hum and de-buzz processing, broadband noise reduction, de-ploding, de-essing, 10-band equalization, compression, and limiting. Separate presets for each section allow you to get results fast.
The brickwall filters have variable rolloff slopes and can be used to cutoff low or high frequency ranges. The de-hum processor uses notch filters to eliminate 10 harmonics of either 50 Hz or 60 Hz hum. The de-buzz processor squelches nasty line frequency buzzes. The de-noise processor is the stellar sounding MR Noise algorithm with a simplified interface. De-plode and de-ess are custom processors; use de-plode to tame plosive sounds and use de-ess to adjust the amount of sibiliants. The EQ section is the powerful and easy to use TrackPlug equalizer, with 10 bands of equalization, 11 different filter types to choose from, and a variety of presets. The compressor is the TrackPlug Vintage compressor, with presets tailored to voice processing.
