This Tonex Capture pack aims to recreate the sound of the HM-30 from Tyler Amps.
The famous DC-30 but…better? A few years ago this was exactly the mission that Tyler Amps set out on and we think they did a pretty fantastic job. The Matchless DC-30 is no stranger to the spotlight; its majestic and bright chime combined with its impressive ability to break up and never become harsh earned it the god-tier status in amp lore that it deserves…but it always lacked one thing… a little bit of body. Enter Tyler Amps. By recreating the famous Matchless Sampson-Era circuit (with a few of their own tweaks) and pairing it with their own custom-designed speakers, Tyler was somehow able to take the renowned DC-30 and make it better by allowing the same chime and smooth breakup but giving it some bottom end. In this capture pack, you can grab all of the amazing tones that this amp produces on both the 12AX7 channel and the EF86 channel as well as have the channels jumped!
