Nicky Paul, producer, composer, and keyboard player for the indie-electro band, St. Lucia laid down direct to tape sounds at Los Angeles’ legendary Sunset Sound Studios. This pack is an ode to the Sunset Blvd. studio’s iconic recordings from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Inspired by the recording process of that era and influenced by his jazz background, Paul captured a group of highly talented musicians all playing at once. The resulting songs are dripping in authenticity and warm, nostalgic quality. They were recorded on the same board and tape machine and in the same room and the same studio as records by The Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston, The Beach Boys, Miles Davis, Sly and the Family Stone, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and so many others.
